HOTTEST DAY NEWS

GET READY TO RIDE!
Get ready for the 2007 Hottest Day of the Year Ride! We're going for the world record of the largest water fight ever recorded.  Last year our inaugural ride was quite a success - 900 of you joined us for an awesome afternoon of fun in the sun.  We've got more excitement planned for this year and we hope you'll join us.

Cool down on the hottest day.  Bring a group of friends - let's go for a ride!

PACKET PICKUP
Stop by the Lucky Lab, NW Quimby at 19th, from 4-7pm on Saturday, August 4th to check in for the event.  We'll have a limited number of goodie bags stuffed with fun giveaways for the first people to check in.

Maybe you want to relax and enjoy a beer at the Lab, pick up your t-shirt and meet other riders.  It's definitely a great way to beat the lines that will form on Sunday morning. Get your check-in activities out of the way in advance so on the day of the event you're ready to roll.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect a great day riding with friends and family!  If you're an experienced rider, you'll appreciate the great level of organization, the 40-mile route and the extensive ride features. If you're new to riding, you'll love our mostly flat route, quiet side streets and support along the way.

Expect a hot day!! Bring two water bottles. We'll have water along the way and plenty at the start/finish.  There's nothing better for you on a hot day than plenty of water.  Dress for the weather and don't forget your sunscreen.

You can expect a day absolutely full of activity from 9am until 3pm.  Start off with some riding to get your blood moving and to give your legs a workout and at the finish line it's time to party.  Bring your appetite: the make-your-own sundae station is huge and it is just waiting for you to load on the strawberries, nuts, chocolate sauce, crushed cookies, whipped cream and more.  After all that riding, you've certainly earned it.

Sure, there's the No Squirt Zone, if you REALLY want to be there, but otherwise prepare to get a little damp at the finish line.  After all, we're counting on you to help us break the world record of the largest water fight ever.  Remember, no outside water devices are allowed.  We'll provide the squirt guns.
